Grigory Chervyak, Instrumentation Fitter Grigory Chervyak is a legend of Naftagaz-Drilling. Aged 84, he is still working in the Company. Grigory, a certified agricultural economist from Chernigov Oblast of the Ukrainian SSR, was managing a data processing centre in the City of Priluki when his friend, a driller, encouraged him to move to the new, developing City of Noyabrsk.
At his new job, where he started out as a fitter, then got promoted to instrumentation foreman and supervisor, Grigory Chervyak set up a data centre for procession of accounting statements, payroll and stock records using Askota-170 computing machines. He also participated in the construction of an automated line for pressure testing and identification of defects of drill pipes, with recording equipment used to log the data. In 1990 he was awarded the “Veteran Worker” medal.
In the 21st century, Grigory Chervyak retired from the position of site supervisor, only retaining his fitter duties. He is now responsible for ensuring the functionality and maintenance of drilling rig instrumentation. Despite his age, his skills are still exquisite, and the quality of his repair work is admired by his teammates. Even though he has been retired for some time, Grigory Chervyak intends to work for as long as he is able, because he claims that staying at home is boring.
And since he is always willing to share his enormous job experience and encyclopaedic knowledge with his younger colleagues, it is a win-win situation. On multiple occasions, he was awarded certificates, commendations, cash premiums and valuable gifts for his excellent performance and many years of fruitful work activity. He was voted the "Best in Trade" at professional skills competitions.
In 2012, he received an honourable commendation from the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation for his many years of work, and in 2019 he received the highest award for an employee in the oil and gas industry — “Honoured Oil Worker”.
Yevgeniya KiselevaYevgeniya Kiseleva
Warehouse Manager of Naftagaz-Drilling
Yevgeniya Kiseleva Warehouse Manager of Naftagaz-Drilling Yevgeniya came to Noyabrsk from Omsk in 1984. On the same year she joined the Noyabrskneftegaz production company, where she worked as a boiler operator (a stoker, in other words), then as a machine operator, dispatcher and work assignment manager, and finally was promoted to a position of Engineer 1st grade. In 2001, the Company created a branch for its servicing assets, thus separating them from the production, and Yevgeniya Kiseleva began her tenure at the drilling company. However, she does not see it as a ‘transfer’ – the company name and job titles may be different, but her team and workplace remain the same, and her responsibilities and qualification have much grown: Lead Engineer, then Acceptance and Delivery Inspector, and for the past few years – an attentive and accurate Warehouse Manager in Naftagaz-Drilling.
Yevgeniya is responsible not only for storage of protective clothing and consumables, but also for ensuring that the drill rigs are outfitted properly. She is quite proficient with machinery equipment, and appreciates this aspect of her work, thoroughly understanding the entire range of the drilling equipment. It comes as no surprise, since in her youth she worked directly at a drilling site as a stoker for three years.
Evgeniya was awarded certificates and commendations for her dedicated service on multiple occasions. The commendation from the Ministry of Energy in 2014 is, perhaps, the top award in her impressive list. Evgeniya Viktorovna has recently retired, but she is not planning to enjoy her well-deserved rest just yet. She plans to work for Naftagaz as long as she is willing and able.
