In 2019, Gazpromneft launched its large-scale projects on the development of Achim oil deposits of the Yamburgskoye oil and gas condensate field and oil rims of the Pestsovoye and En-Yakhinskoye fields, including the Zapadno-Tarkosalinskoye field, for Gazprom.
In 2020, Naftagaz started the drilling of gas wells at the Pestsovoye field under contract with Gazpromneft-Zapolyarye.
The Pestsovoye field (along with the Pestsovoye area of the Urengoyskoye field) is a part of Pestsovoye license block, and is located in the zone of solid permafrost layer development of Nadym District of Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. Discovered in 1974, this Cenomanian massive dry gas deposit is the North-West continuation of the Bolshoy Urengoy deposit.
