In the first half of 2019, 362,000 meters were drilled. This is 30% more than for the similar period of the previous year. 84 wells are drilled up. The share of horizontal wells from among those drilled in this year increased by 3% compared with the first half of the previous year. They include 2 technologically complicated wells with two horizontal completions, 3 wells under conditions of a reservoir and hydrostatic equilibrium pressure ( “under balance”).
The indicators have increased compared to Q1 and Q2 2019 as well. The penetration in Q2 increased by 38.1%, 44 wells are drilled up, which is 10% more than in Q1.
“The penetration by Naftagaz-Drilling reached up to 600,000 meters in recent years. Due to the increased amount of orders in 2019, we expect to reach a new significant milestone at year-end,” said Islam Nazaraliev, CEO of NaftaGaz JSC.
