Naftagaz signed a new contract with Gazpromneft-Zapolyarye for the construction of wells at the Urengoyskoye field

Naftagaz won the tender for drilling production wells at the Urengoiskoye oil and gas condensate field for Gazpromneft-Zapolyarye LLC. The contract will be in force from April 1, 2022 to December 31, 2027. 47 wells are planned to be constructed at the Urengoyskaya group of fields. The first rig will be mobilized on April 1, 2022, and drilling of the first well will commence on June 1, 2022. The work will be conducted using the cluster drilling rigs ZJ-50 and BU 6000/400 of increased capacity having a block-modular design with double tier block arrangement and designed for the Extreme North climatic conditions.

This is Naftagaz's second contract with Gazpromneft-Zapolyarye. At the end of 2021, Naftagaz successfully completed its first gas project at the Pestsovoye field (a Gazprom asset) in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. 69 thousand meters of rocks were drilled in the Cenomanian deposits of the Pestsovoye license area. 31 wells have been drilled, 25 of which have been completed horizontally. The actual work performance was as close as possible to the plan and increased markedly in 2021 compared to last year. 15 wells were drilled up to 5.5 days ahead of schedule. The calendar drilling time was 21.34 days. The actual overall drilling speed was 3,481 m/machine month compared to 3,810 to 3,900 m/machine month planned. 11 out of 15 drilling equipment rigging operations were performed ahead of schedule and on time. The productive time ratio in 2021 amounted to 97.4%. The management of Gazpromneft-Zapolyarye noted in their letter of thanks sent to Naftagaz CEO Islam Nazaraliev that the company demonstrated "coordinated and technically competent work of drilling crews and field engineering complying with all safety standards and rules, prompt response to production requests, and good organization of the drilling process”.
