NaftaGaz introduces Olimpoks – a knowledge testing system

Naftagaz-Drilling and Naftagaz-Service, production business units of Russian oilfield services company NaftaGaz, introduced Olimpoks – an educational and monitoring system for knowledge assessment. It provides for automation preparation for exams and knowledge testing in the field of labour and production safety.

The first stage includes knowledge assessment of company engineers and technicians. Eventually, the system will cover all production staff, both drilling crew members and auxiliary production personnel. Nowadays, 879 exams have been passed in various fields, though most of them belong to categories of first aid to workplace-injured staff and minimum requirements to fire safety. Moreover, the assessment is done for safety, work at heights, well control, well supervision in case of gas, oil, or water inflow, etc.

In addition to ready training courses the system allows you to prepare and upload in-house training materials considering corporate requirements and specifics of the company. No special skills or extra training are required to use the software. The Olimpoks system provides for regular training of all employees and control with minimum time consumption and labour input.

Let us recall that NaftaGaz is consequently automating the production processes. Recently, it started the final stage of drilling operation metering automation, and prior to that it introduced Oracle EPM – a business efficiency management system.
