NaftaGaz has launched the second drilling rig on the gas project and prepares the third one.

NaftaGaz proceeds with implementation of the company’s first gas wells construction project on PJSC Gazprom sites under the contract entered into with Gazpromneft-Zapolyarye LLC. The drilling on Cenomanian deposits within Pestsovy oil-gas condensate field has already engaged the second Uralmash-3000 AeUK1M 200 t capacity drilling rig. It only took two boring rigs to finalize the completion of 2 wells, construction of the third and fourth wells has reached the final stages. Derrick mounting works are in progress on the third drilling rig, the drilling is scheduled to commence this November.

Due to current epidemiological situation, works are executed only in compliance with applicable regulations. Drilling crews and derrick mounting units are provided with every necessary means, i.e. antiseptics, masks, etc. Prior to being granted access to work on a drilling site, employees of both NaftaGaz and contracting organizations pass a two-week quarantine in NaftaGaz and customers buffer terminals furnished for isolated accommodation.

Pestsovy field is a part of Pestsovy licensed section, as well as Pestsovy area of Urengoy field, and it is located in the zone of solid permafrost layer development of Nadym area, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District. Discovered in 1974, Cenomanian massive dry gas deposit is the North-Western continuation of Bolshoi Urengoy deposit.
