NaftaGaz experience presented at the conference on digitalization of internal communication tools

An expert practical conference Rivelty.Conf on the development of internal communications and services for the work and comfort of employees was held in Moscow for intranet leaders, internal communicators, heads of HR automation departments and product managers. Varvara Paal, Director of the Public Relations Department of the oilfield service company NaftaGaz, presented the case of creating the first Russian intranet portal for drillers as the best practice based on the results of the Russian Intranet Awards 2023 (Intranet Leader).

On October 5, the NaftaGaz portal will celebrate the first year of its operation. It was created on the principle of corporate services, including HR information and services, terms of wearing PPE, overalls, issuing admission documents for passing to the fields, prompt registration of stop cards (detection of dangerous conditions), access to the organizational structure and company documents.

In addition, the portal includes operational news, contests, chats, communities, surveys, information on training, certificates of acknowledgement, channels for communication with management, announcements, information on birthdays and hiring new employees.

Today, the NaftaGaz Group of Companies consists of several enterprises:

  • NG-Drilling (the city of Noyabrsk and fields)

  • NG-Service (the city of Noyabrsk and fields)

  • Digital Drilling (the city of Perm and fields)

  • Holding Company (Moscow)


Employees work in Noyabrsk, Tyumen, at the fields of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, in Perm and in Moscow. In total, the number of employees of the Group of Companies is 2.5 thousand people, of which 80% are portal users. Thus, the intranet portal, as a resource for business and internal communications, has become an effective tool for the team to interact with each other despite the geographical remoteness and the lack of standard office workplaces.
