On January 14, 2013, Naftagaz-Drilling was established as a company engaged in construction of oil and gas wells, and today it is among the top five independent oil service players in Russia.
CEO Islam Nazaraliev says, “We have passed a hard way fr om the first well in Verkhne-Shapshinskoye field to achieve 3 million meters of drilling for PJSC Gazprom neft, PJSC Gazprom, PJSC Rosneft Oil Company, PJSC Novatek, PJSC RussNeft Oil Company. Considering the industry specifics wh ere the main players are major oil and gas companies and their subsidiaries, each contract and each year of operation is a challenge for an independent oil and gas service company. But these difficulties are also advantages making us grow in an effective, professional and quick way because our competitors are major market players”. NaftaGaz operates in YaNAA, KhMAA, Tumen and Tomsk regions and is engaged in Khantos, Vostok, Zapolarye, Yamal and Varyogan projects.
Starting from 2014, NaftaGaz drilling teams cooperate with Gazpromneft-Vostok in advanced large-scale projects for production in standard and complicated deposits in Shinginskoye, Smolyanoye, Yuzhno-Shinginskoye, Urmanskoye, Archinskoye, Zapadno-Luginetskoye fields.
In 2015 NaftaGaz became a partner of Gazprom-Noyabrskneftegaz in YaNAA in Valyntoiskoye, Vorgenskoye, Vostochno-Piakutinskoye, Vyngapurovskoye, Vyngaiakhinskoye, Ety-Purovskoye, Zapadno-Noiabrskoye, Zapadno-Chatylkinskoye, Krainee, Otdelnoye, Romanovskoye, Sredne-Iturskoye, Sutominskoye, Holmistoye, Chatylkinskoye, Yuzhno-Purpeiskoye, Yarainerskoye, Severo-Harampurskoye, Tarasovskoye, Festivalnoye, Gubkinskoye, Komsomolskoye fields. NaftaGaz also cooperates with RN-Purnefgegaz LLC in the region.
In the last 5 years NaftaGaz has drilled over one million meters at the facilities of Gazpromneft-Khantos in the Southern area of Priobskoye Field, which is the key asset of Gazprom neft.
NaftaGaz has been working with RN-Nyaganneftegaz JSC since 2018 in Kamennoye oil and gas field in the west of Khanty-Mansiisk autonomous area. NaftaGaz is contracted by PJSC Varyogannneftegaz for Varyegan Project in Severo-Khokhryakovskoye field.
In 2020, NaftaGaz started drilling gas wells in Pestsovoye field under the contract with Gazpromneft-Zapolyarye LLC (Gazprom’s site) for development of Achim oil deposits in Yamburg oil and gas field and oil banks in Pestsovoye and En-Yhakhinskoye fields, as well as in Zapadno-Tarkosalinskoye field.
NaftaGaz has achieved technological records: construction of advanced directional wells over 5.5 km deep by the drilling rig with the capacity of 200 t. Other achievements are directional drilling over 2000 m and vertical drilling to the horizon entry 1893 m. Including drilling with DDI 6.67. This is one of the highest rates for similar projects in Western Siberia.
Islam Nazaraliev highlights, that “high results of the Company’s work are due to NaftaGaz team’s coordinated and professional work, and effective interface with our customers”. The Company CEO says, “We will keep investing in development of personnel, production and engineering, managerial and business processes and implementing new technologies. The aim is long-term and sustained growth in oil and gas service field, increasing volumes and covering more geography of NaftaGaz’s operation.
