NaftaGaz again became the winner of the Eco-Leader Competition

One of the key criteria in drilling is maintain the balance and safety of the environment. The NaftaGaz oil service company for the third year in a row confirms its image of the environmentally responsible company, where environmental friendliness and biosphere protection is a priority area in the production activity. 

At the Tazovskoye oil and gas condensate field a ceremony of awarding the winners of the annual competition “Eco Leader” took place for the best organization of production and economic activity in terms of the environmental protection. The sub-contractors, which operate at the facilities of the Meretoyakhaneftegaz company, took part in this competition. The commission evaluated the condition of the production sites and the adjacent territories, assessed the employees’ awareness of the environmental activities, examined the organization of waste accumulation and disposal sites, and reviewed relevant permitting documentation.

According to the expert commission's decision, the first place in the "Drilling" category was awarded to NG-Bureniye. For the third year in a row the drilling division of NaftaGaz confirmed its compliance with the high standards and principles of environmental safety set by the client.

Thank-you letters for active efforts in ensuring environmental safety at the Tazovskoye oil and gas condensate field were awarded to:

• Elena Kaptur, Head of Environmental Safety Department;
• Ivan Kochetkov, Drilling Foreman;
• Matvey Razboynikov, Drilling Site Supervisor.

According to Elena Kaptur, Head of the Environmental Safety Department: "A comprehensive approach to labor and environmental protection is used in NaftaGaz. The key focus is assessment and prevention of environmental risks, development of responsible attitudes towards nature among the NaftaGaz employees, and maintenance of constant control over the environmental safety. We thank our client for their support and high assessment of our work."

NaftaGaz is in the top five largest independent drilling companies. The company is certified by the largest Russian petroleum companies. The main partners are the subsidiary structures of PAO Gazprom Neft and PAO Rosneft. Since the company was established, over 6.4 million meters (1,600 wells) have been drilled. Since 2014 till 2024 the investments to the main funds are over 12 billion rubles. The number of the personnel is about 2,500 people. The production basis is located in the city of Noyabrsk (Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug).
