The corporate book project of Naftagaz Group "Drillers of the Future” won the award in the nomination of “Best Children's Book” at the international ceremony "Best Corporate Book - 2025", organized by the MediaLine Communication Group with support from InterComm.
The idea originated from a simple question: what do children know about their parents' work in the oil and gas industry? The kid’s understanding of the matter is often vague. Naftagaz realized the need to become a "translator" from the professional language to the child-friendly explanations. The “Drillers of the Future” collection includes three books designed for the children aged from 0 to 16.
The victory in the nomination of the "Best Children's Book" is especially meaningful, taking the level of the competitors into account: the participating editions were from: EVRAZ, Zarubezneft, Ak Bars Bank, Polus Gold, Argumenty i Fakty Publishing House, TMH, and Ural Steel.
Larisa Rudakova, the President of the MediaLine Communication Group and organizer of the competition, noted that "a corporate book is not just a media format; it’s a cultural code of the companies embodied on the pages, and the 'Best Corporate Book' award is our effort to give this code recognition and weight. It’s not only about the texts, but also about the memory, identity, and values that remain. The children’s editions of Naftagaz received the unanimous recognition from almost all the members of the jury for their visual design and the line, designed for the different age groups of children. The manner of talking to the younger generations about such complex topics deserves great respect."
The books of "Naftagaz" are the first children's publications in Russia to tell about the profession of a driller. Nearly all the company leaders took part in the editing process, ensuring the accuracy and clarity of the explanations of complex processes in their respective fields. The books were given as New Year presents to the employees’ children and became a topic for the family conversations about the profession, opening the world of oilfield services as a world of people, technologies, and inspiration.
