NaftaGaz summarizes COVID-19 situation in 2020

During COVID-19 period, NaftaGaz faced no mass infection breakout. The Company was one of the first Russian production companies to maintain preventive measures on sites – starting fr om March 2020.

Due to the disease cases growth in YaNAA and KhMAA (where the Company operates), the rotation period was increased from 28 to 90 days and special buffer terminals were arranged. Before the drilling crews are allowed to join the rig, they are subject to 14-day observation wh ere they are provided with all amenities, timely infection testing, and while in the observation they drill their skills in the special on-line corporate program.

NaftaGaz performs COVID-19 control measures while closely cooperating with the Client (Gazprom neft) that in turn provides comprehensive assistance. Decisions on COVID-19 control measures are mutually adopted, algorithms of arrival to hazardous production facilities are developed, buffer terminals are arranged, observation periods are discussed, disinfection is carried out for vehicles, production sites, hazardous production facilities. Medics are regularly involved from accredited laboratories for COVID-19 testing directly at hazardous production facilities and in camps.

Rooms are subject to full disinfection before each rotation. All employees are provided with masks, gloves and sanitizers. The Company keeps working in such mode successfully.

Maintaining the occupational safety during the pandemic was costly. In average, 8 to 12 million roubles per months were allocated for this purpose. NaftaGaz has decided not to reduce the financing but increase it when required. The Company’s priority is workers’ life and health.

NaftaGaz is among the top five independent drilling companies. Since the foundation, almost 3 million meters have been drilled (70% of them by directional drilling). Over the course of five years, RUB 5 bln have been invested in fixed assets. The company demonstrates stable progress in production and financial indexes every year. The number of employees is approximately 1,700 people. The Company’s principal production site is based in Noyabrsk (YaNAA).
