NaftaGaz management implemented an occupational safety programme for Naftagaz-Drilling foremen jointly with the customer’s subject matter experts. The programme introduced the innovations in the area of occupational safety management and basic IT practices. In addition, all programme participants watched a video and took part in the “Hunting the Hazards” business game.
Besides, the participants discussed future cooperation and examined the most topical issues associated with further improvements in the safety system. Very soon, each of the customer’s facilities is supposed to be provided with a paramedical station and the drilling will become pit-free to improve environmental safety.
Islam Nazaraliyev, CEO of NaftaGaz JSC, claimed that the company is fully committed to improving the occupational safety indices. “The activities of this sort help us make sure we are on the same page with our customers, obtain first-hand clarifications concerning the reform strategy, and adjust our practices as necessary. Ultimately, we are working together to change the occupational safety culture for the better”, Nazaraliyev said.
It is worth reminding that Russian oilfield services company NaftaGaz is in Top-5 Russian independent drilling companies and was named among the best-performing drilling contractors at year-end 2018.
