NaftaGaz has organized a dialog between upstream and oilfield services

On the initiative of NaftaGaz, on March 22, 2018, representatives of the customer, PJSC Gazprom Neft, and key contracting enterprises met at its Moscow office. The off-site meeting on industrial safety has become a platform for dialogue and exchange of views. The participants of the meeting agreed that this format of communication is sorely lacking in the oilfield services sector.

The meeting was attended by heads of the HSE services of PJSC Gazprom Neft and representatives of its subsidiaries and dependent companies (Gazpromneft-Noyabrskneftegaz, Messoyakhaneftegaz, Gazpromneft-Yamal), NaftaGaz, Siberian Service Company, Ermakovskoye Well Repair Company, JV MeKaMineft, KapRemServis, InvestGeoServiы, Eriell Neftegazservis, West Siberian and Nizhnevolzhsk branches of Eurasia Drilling Company, Eurasia Management, NSH Asia Drilling, IDS Management, NefteServis.
Director General of NaftaGaz, Islam Nazaraliev, addressed the guests with a welcoming speech, in which he highlighted the importance of this meeting for each participant, as it allows to form a permanent platform for prompt discussion and successful promotion of industrial safety, labor protection and environment issues. He also pointed out that the health and safety situation is a universal indicator of any company’s manageability, and effective management and achievement of the common "Goal 0" in industrial safety should be considered a guarantee of ensuring the safety of people and assets.

In the course of cooperation the participants of the event made a number of important decisions. Coordinating Council "Partner" and its working body (working group) have been formed from representatives of the customer and contractors to review industrial safety issues. At the meeting, agreements were reached to prepare and submit proposals to optimize the process of training in defensive and winter driving  (adjusting the program, training schedule, etc.), revise the procedure for imposing fines on the part of the customer to improve the efficiency of this tool, and the issues of quality of the implementation of corrective actions based on the results of the investigation of incidents were discussed.

The decision to form a register of unified requirements of the customer to the list of industrial safety activities is groundbreaking.

At the end of the meeting, the participants noted good organization and exceptional relevance of the event and expressed hope to have a similar meeting in the future on a regular basis.
