NaftaGaz drilled 3 Million meters since start of operations

NaftaGaz has reached 3 million meters drilled since October 2014 when the company was established. The anniversary meter was drilled on November 1st at 03:00 p.m. by Vitaly Vasiliev’s crew on well pad 68 at the Krainee field operated by Gazpromneft-Noyabrskneftegaz. Over the past 6 years the company has drilled 740 wells, including 460 horizontal wells, 263 directional wells, 8 exploration wells, and 4 gas producers.

Company CEO Islam Nazaraliev congratulated all NaftaGaz’s employees on this important milestone and noted that “the Company had come a long way being an independent petroleum services provider, each year demonstrating more stable and higher performance”. According to Mr. Nazaraliev, 2020 was a special year for the business because it proved “the correctness of the management decisions, efficiency of partnership relations, and high professionalism of the team capable of achieving results even during the crisis”. Islam Nazaraliev pointed out that “despite the current situation in the industry due to the OPEC+ terms and the pandemic, NaftaGaz continues to live up to its obligations. For 10 months of this year we have built 146 wells, including 104 horizontals, 1 exploration well, 4 gas producers, and the rest are directional wells”.

In addition, the Company builds other high-tech types of wells – controlled pressure wells and multilaterals. In 2020, NaftaGaz drilled several wells to over 5,000TD, and some of them were drilled from the upgraded Drill Rig 3000 without using the rotary steerable.

Over the past 5 years NaftaGaz has invested 5 billion rubbles in its fixed assets. The company demonstrates a stable progress in production and financial growth every year. The Company’s principal production site is based in Noyabrsk (YaNAO), where NaftaGaz has an in-house school for the tool pushers, supervisors, and drillers used to train personnel and develop talents.
