Naftagaz completes metering automation in drilling

The Russian oilfield services company NaftaGaz proceeded with the final stage of automation of its production processes. The project is being implemented based on the global leading software WellView (Peloton) that manages a well life cycle from geology to operation, automates different sites from operation time recording and equipment repair scheduling to automation of HSE services.

Drilling foremen enter information on crews, completed jobs, used inventory, vehicles operating on multiple well platform for generation of daily reports. Based on this data the crew timesheet is prepared and transmitted to Labour and Wages Department, information on rejected materials is automatically sent to Accounting Division, and information to record transport services provided by contractors is transferred to Logistics Department. WellView is also used to generate working time balance.

Transmission and recording of drilling crew material and spare part requisitions in the supply section will be automated at the final stage of the project. After submitting a requisition the foreman only needs to confirm actual delivery of ordered materials. The program is also customized for future drilling support needs of Naftagaz. The demand plan will be generated automatically based on well parameters. After confirmation it will be submitted to material supply system for generation of procurement plan.

Automation of production process accounting completes the modernization program that started with integration of business performance management system Oracle EPM. The company implemented single data input principle. Each employee works in a familiar environment where data is transmitted to the systems of relevant services. This ensures high performance and reduces the probability of misentries.
